What is paper wasp removal?

Paper wasps build an open, umbrella shaped comb of grey paper with the cells facing down and no outer cover. You find them under eaves, on pergolas, fences, clotheslines, letterboxes, window frames and inside shrubs.
They are slender wasps, brown or yellow and black, and they fly with their long legs dangling. They are not interested in your food, but they defend the nest, and most stings happen when someone bumps it while gardening or hanging washing.
Paper wasp nest removal is usually one short visit: the comb is treated with a registered insecticide, left a few minutes, then scraped off and bagged.

Mud wasps do not live in colonies. Each nest is one female provisioning a few cells, so there is no swarm to defend it.
They rarely sting
