Quick answer

What drives honey bee removal cost?

Reviewed by the Bees and Wasps Removal team

Three things decide the price: whether it is still a swarm, where the colony has built, and how hard it is to reach. A swarm in the open is a short visit from $149. A colony with comb inside a wall, roof or eave needs treatment and a cut out, from $495. Chimneys, two storey walls, large established colonies and commercial sites start from $895.

The cut out is the big difference. Beehive removal cost reflects opening the cavity, removing every comb by hand, cleaning it out and sealing the gap. A cheaper quote that only sprays the entrance usually leaves the comb, and the bees, or the next colony, come back.

Regional travel is quoted before you book. Repairs to plaster, tiles or cladding are separate and only done with your written approval.

Questions

Bee removal cost questions

Send a photo with the form and we can often give you an exact price on the first call.

Call 0435 073 966
What is the average bee removal cost?

For most homes it is either a swarm visit from $149 or a hive cut out from $495, both including GST. Complex and commercial work starts from $895.

Why is beehive removal cost higher than a swarm?

A hive has comb and honey inside the building. Opening the cavity, removing the comb, cleaning and sealing takes two visits and much longer.

Is the bee hive removal price fixed?

Yes, once agreed. If opening the wall reveals something unexpected, we stop and price it before continuing, never after.

How do I find bee removal cost near me in regional Victoria?

Our prices are the same across Victoria. Regional travel, if any, is quoted before you book.

Does honey bee removal cost include repairs?

Small openings are closed as part of the job. Larger plaster, tile or cladding repairs are quoted separately with your approval.

Do you charge for a quote?

No. Quotes by phone or from a photo are free.

Is there a call out fee?

Your quoted price is what you pay for the job. Regional travel, if it applies, is included in that quote.

Why are some quotes much cheaper?

Usually because the comb is not removed. That can cost more later when the bees return or honey damages the wall.

How do I pay?

Payment is due on completion. We confirm the accepted methods when you book.

Is bee nest removal cost different for a tree?

A colony in a tree hollow is usually priced like a cut out, adjusted for height and access, and agreed on the phone.

Is the guarantee included in the price?

Yes. The 12 month guarantee on the seal is part of every cut out, with no extra fee.
